Keynote Speaker

As a keynote speaker, Dr. Bianco engages the audience sense of wonder and amazement of what we know and still have to learn about the Universe. As an urban scientist, she is firmly rooted on planet Earth and engages the audience in how we can improve our cities and planet. She is full of surprises and interesting stories; as a professional boxer, she knows how to keep the pace of any talk interesting and lively.

Consultant

Whether it is a group of advanced graduate students of a room full of scientist/engineers Dr. Bianco can create workshops for small groups on various topics regarding data science and collaboration. In each workshop she teaches all the tools needed for the analysis and the management of large data sets exploring how data can be used to solve problems creatively.  She organizes and mentors hackathons and data-dives.

STEM and School Visits

Dr. Bianco's passion is science, without overlooking our home. As an astrophysicist and urban scientist, she is able to focus on both Universe-size and human-size questions. As a professional boxer she blows people's perceptions and misconceptions of what female scientist do and look like. Sharing her stories and passion for her work with students is one of her favorite things about science. She is invested in empowering girls and women and is a mentor to female in STEM and a coach to female athletes. She is also available as a Graduation speaker.
